Why Hwyl and what does it mean?
Hwyl is a Welsh word that is analogous to the Irish term 'craic' that captures a mix of energy, passion, and team spirit—we chose it because the app is built for clubs and schools that play with that same sense of joy. Learn more about hwyl on Visit Wales.
How do I set up my club?
During this early release of the app, please send us the following details:
- Club or school name
- Club or school nickname (if you have one)
- Name of the club administrator, email address, and phone number
- Club or School logo as a PNG image, with a transparent background if possible
- Where you play (ground or venue)
- Links to your website/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter

How do I create a match?
Create a team, then add a fixture and start scoring from the match screen.
How do I track scores?
During a match, record tries, conversions, and key events in real time.
How do players join a team?
Players can join via their club or team invite and access their player card once added.
How do I share results?
Share scores and updates during or after matches with your community.
